The tool that Samsung device owners use to 'flash' (or install) newer firmware, ODIN, is Windows-only. If you can boot camp into Windows I strongly recommend doing so. Otherwise, your other option for flashing is Heimdall, which is essentially the product of someone reverse-engineering ODIN and writing a similar tool for OSX. Unfortunately, Heimdall is a huge headache because it often doesn't work as its supposed to.

Again, I strongly recommend using Boot Camp or borrowing a Windows PC for this. If you must use Heimdall, I would do some pretty extensive research on it before starting.
